Thiruvananthapuram: In an interesting turn of events, SFI Wayanad District Committee was dissolved in the backdrop of activists attacking and vandalising the office of Rahul Gandhi MP in Kalpetta. Meanwhile, the SFI central committee had temporarily appointed a seven-member ad-hoc committee to oversee the day-to-day operation.
Earlier, SFI investigated the role of the district committee in the attack. Following this, a decision was taken by the central committee during a state committee meeting on Sunday.
Wayanad District Joint Secretary, Eldhose will act as the convener of the ad-hoc committee. Earlier, CPM and Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had criticized the move from SFI to hold a protest march to the office of Rahul Gandhi. They also condemned the action of SFI leaders and demanded strict action.
