Kozhikode: The District Sessions court here on Friday dismissed the bail plea submitted by DYFI activists in the case related to the attack on a security guard in Kozhikode Medical College. Five DYFI activists, including state committee member K Arun approached the Kozhikode District Sections Court seeking bail on Friday.
The lawyer representing the security guard expressed happiness about the court's decision to reject the bail plea of the accused.
The accused had put much pressure on the Police to settle the case, the lawyer added.
The incident relating to the case took place on August 31. A gang of DYFI men attacked the security guard following a quarrel over restricting a couple from visiting the medical superintendent. The CCTV footage of the incident also came out, forcing authorities to take action in the matter.
