Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Assembly witnessed ruckus between the government and opposition while Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was giving an explanation regarding the Periya twin murder case. The opposition started uproar after the chief minister stated that the government is not answerable to nonsensical questions raised by someone.
The chief minister was replying to the adjournment motion moved by the opposition in connection with Periya case. V D Satheesan from the opposition raised a point of order soon after the Speaker controlled the opposition uproar.
V D Satheesan stood up alleging that Minister for Industries E P Jayarajan used cuss words like 'bloody rascal' through the chief minister’s mike. He further alleged that they heard Jayarajan uttering such words through the CM’s mike placed nearby. This provoked the opposition.
However, the Speaker informed that such offensive words will not be used in the minutes. With this, the opposition stopped the uproar, but continued protesting while the chief minister was responding to questions. MLA Shafi Parambil gave the notice for adjournment motion.
