Thiruvananthapuram: The eighth assembly session of the 14th Kerala Legislative Assembly will commence on January 23. The cabinet has recommended commencement of the session with the policy address of governor Arif Mohammed Khan.
Finance Minister KN Balagopal will present the annual budget for the financial year 2023-24 on February 3. The assembly session will be adjourned on February 10. The house will be summoned again before March 31 to pass the budget.
The government has decided to commence the eighth assembly session with the policy address after the governor expressed willingness to compromise after months of long tussle.
