Assault of 3-yr-old boy in Aluva: Mother admits to assault
Aluva: In the incident relating to assault of a three-year-old boy in Aluva, the mother of the child has confessed to the crime and told police that she injured the child. Burns spotted on the body of the boy was also inflicted by the mother. Her arrest will be registered later, said police.
The expense of the child will be met by the social justice government, said Health minister K K Shylaja. The boy was hospitalised on Wednesday after he sustained a head injury.
In connection with the incident, a case for murder attempt was booked against the parents of the child.
Police have taken into custody the parents who hail from Jharkhand. The family came to Kerala only 10 days ago. Kerala police have contacted Jainagar police of Jharkhand for further investigation.
The surgery of a migrant worker’s child, who was admitted to a private hospital here with injuries, was completed. Doctors confirmed that the child’s condition remains critical and the boy was not responding to medicines. Brain haemorrhage has not stopped yet and the child is in ventilator.
