Ashram was attacked with intention to murder Swami: Kodiyeri Balakrishnan
Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that the attack on the ashram of Swami Sandeepananda Giri is the evidence of the cruelty of Sangh Parivar to mute the secular voices.
Swami Sandeepananda is a spiritual person who always stood with the constitution and secularism. The attack on the ashram was with an intention to assasinate him.
RSS and BJP never allow anyone, who dissent their ideologies, to live peacefully. The policy of heinous act of killing Kalburgi, Pansare and Gauri Lankesh are being tried in Kerala also. Legal actions against the intolerant Sangh Parivar activists has to be strengthened. Alongside, public opinion also must be strengthened, said Kodiyeri.
The incident of attack on ashram provides an opportunity of second thought for all those organisations which protested along with Sangh Parivar against the Supreme court verdict on Sabarimala. The government should take strong action against the attackers.
He also requested to raise serious protest against the attack on the ashram. All secular people should help to renovate the ashram, he added.
