Kerala received 108 per cent excess summer rains till date

Kottayam: The state has received 108 per cent excess summer rains this year.

Data shows that the state has received 130.7 mm of rainfall in the period between March 1 and April 10.

Notably, the long-term average rainfall of the period is 62.8 mm, according to India Meteorological Department’s data.

Among the districts, Alappuzha, Kannur. Idukki, Kottayam, Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Kasaragod, Kozhikode and Wayanad have received the highest rainfall.
