Art director CK Suresh passes away
Kochi: Popular art director CK Suresh, a native of Thalakaulathur in Kozhikode, passed away on Tuesday at a private hospital in Ernakulam. He was 65.
He was taken to hospital after suffering stroke while he was supervising works of an event management firm at Elamakkara in Ernakulam. The doctors confirmed his death around 4 pm on Tuesday.
He had worked for more than 100 Malayalam movies. He made his debut in the industry as an associate art director during 1980’s. He became popular with the movies directed by IV Sasi.
Kireedam, His Highness Abdulla and Chenkol directed by Sibi Malayil are some of his popular movies. Sradha directed by IV Sasi which was released in 2009 was his last movie as an art director. Later, he left the industry due to health reasons.
He was the designer of the huge ‘Pookalam’ in Kozhikode which entered into Guinness Book of Records.
His last rites will be performed on Wednesday 11 am at his residence in Kozhikode.
