Kottarakara: Around 4,000 driving licences and vehicle registration documents are left unattended in various Motor Vehicle Department offices in the Kollam district. These are the documents which returned through the mail after being not accepted by the recipients/owners. MVD will hold an Adalat on April 30 to return it to the owners.
More than 1,000 complaints filed against MVD will also be overlooked in the Adalat. Minister Antony Raju will attend the Adalat held at C Kesavan Memorial Town Hall in Kollam.
RC books, which are returned to the MVD office due to the passing of the owner will be handed over to kin if the Legal Heir Certificate is submitted in the Adalat. Similarly, driving licence and RC books can be collected after producing adequate documentation. Applications concerning driving schools, pollution testing centres, and others will also be addressed in the Adalat.
