New Delhi: Kerala bagged the award for the highest number of free medical treatments in the Arogya Manthan 2022, announced chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
"Kerala's Public health soars to new heights as we won the award at #ArogyaManthan2022 for providing the highest number of free medical treatments. So far, through Karunya Arogya Suraksha Padhathi (KASP), Kerala has spent ₹1636.07 CR for the treatment of 43.4 lakh beneficiaries," he said in a tweet.
Arogya Manthan is an event organised by the union health ministry to mark the double anniversaries of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) and Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM).
Inaugurating the event, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said the government aims to deliver 10 lakh Ayushman Bharat cards a day under its flagship health insurance scheme AB PM-JAY.
The event ended in New Delhi today.
