Thiruvananthapuram: Indian Army honoured the police officers who worked in the frontline to fight against COVID-19 in the country. In the ceremony that took place in Thiruvananthapuram Police Headquarters, Pangode Military station commander Brigadier Karthik Sheshadri gifted a cake to state police chief Lokanath Behera.
The army also handed over gloves, masks and greeting cards drawn by children to the police force.
Brigadier Karthik Sheshadri said that the work rendered by police officers along with healthcare workers, cleaning workers and other government agencies are priceless. He also praised the effort put in by the police force in preventing the disease and implementing the lockdown.
DGP Lokanath Behera congratulated the army for honoring the police forces around the country. The ceremony was attended by senior army officers.
