Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has directed the authorities concerned to keenly supervise and monitor lab operations in educational institutes under it.
Directorate of Technical Education has issued a circular to the notice of all heads of government educational institutes in this regard.
The order came in the backdrop of a recent report submitted by the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) to the government.
The report hinted that arms manufacturing is happening in some institutes under the guise of curriculum lab activities.
“The heads of institutions should take special care in this regard,” said Dr Byjubai TP, director of the Directorate of Technical Education.
