Thiruvananthapuram: In a shocking incident, an armed man allegedly barged into a house here and looted gold ornaments by holding the family at gunpoint. The incident took place at Koliyakode near Kattakkada here in the wee hours of Sunday.
The house is owned by a man named Ratheesh. It is learnt that Ratheesh was not at home when the man looted his house. The man who barged into the house with the gun threatened Ratheesh’s mother and children and decamped with the gold jewellery.
Kattakada police initiated a probe into the robbery after receiving a complaint from the family. A team of police officials led by SI have been examining the crime scene. Further details are awaited.
