Alappuzha: KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran said that aristocracy was CPM’s culture and asked the left party not to threaten the NSS.
“The title aristocrat suits the CPM and it is their culture. Don’t threaten NSS. It is an organization founded by Mannathu Padmanabhan, an upper caste who led a march of lower caste people,” he said and added that the CPM is using blackmailing politics against the NSS.
Mullappally alleged that CPM is a party without a political stand and added that they would threaten first and then try to reach a compromise.
“Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan initially criticized the bishop, but then started frequenting the bishop house. If the NSS calls, he would run to them,” he added.
Stating that the CPM’s claim of trying to contact DCC for visiting the houses of the slain Youth Congress activists was a lie, Mullappally said that neither the CM nor the CPM had contacted.
“The chief minister did not visit Periya fearing the reaction of the people and he is now trying to save himself by lying,” Mullappally alleged.
