Kochi: A store in Aluva’s Thottumugham witnessed violence following an argument between a customer and the shopkeeper over the repair of a mobile phone. The incident took place at 7.30 pm on Saturday.

Reportedly, Sadham and Shihab, two natives of Thottumugham, had arrived at the shop to repair a mobile phone. They had given Rs 1,000 in advance. However, after examining the phone, the shopkeeper told them that the phone cannot be repaired and returned the money.

Irked by this, the two men hurled abusive words against the shopkeeper. One of them manhandled the shop owner and destroyed several items including new mobile phones and a computer at the shop.

Meanwhile, Aluva East police said action will be taken after a detailed investigation into the incident.
