Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has urged pet dog owners in the state to abide by a set of directions at a time when stray dog menace is on the rise. Some of the important directions are:
- The registration of pet dogs will be made mandatory. The applications relating to registration of pet dogs in the gram panchayat area can be submitted through integrated local self-government management system (ILGMS) portal.
- Panchayat will provide registration certificate within three days after vaccination. A metal token/collar is required to be fitted to registered dogs at the owner's responsibility.
