Kochi: Shashi Tharoor MP on Sunday said that he always informs the president of District Congress Committee (DCC) whenever he attends Congress programmes or public events in any district.
“For the past 14 years, I have always informed respective DCC presidents while taking part in public events or Congress programmes. However, there is no need to inform DCC presidents when attending private events,” Tharoor said.
“KPCC President’s absence in the All India Professionals Congress conclave is in no way related to the controversy. He couldn’t attend the event owing to health issues,” he said.
When asked about whether he will talk to Opposition Leader VD Satheesan in person, Tharoor said, “Are we kindergarten kids to not talk on seeing each other in person? I don’t have any problem seeing or talking to everyone.”
“As far as I know, everything is going fine. I have not made any controversy or cast any allegation. Notice should be issued only when something is wrong. I have not received any notice,” Tharoor added.
