Kollam: Kerala government directed to conduct appointments to all posts, except those carried out by the Public Service Commission, through the Employment Exchange. The latest order will be effective for permanent, contract, and temporary appointments in all institutions under various departments.
The list of candidates prepared for the permanent vacancies has to be forwarded to the Employment Exchange. The appointment order has to be issued only after obtaining the approval of the Employment Exchange.
The latest order pointed out that the community reservation or other priorities are often neglected by the departments while carrying out permanent appointments, such as part-time sweeper posts. In several instances, the discrepancies in appointments are found later leading to dismissal of the employees. This issue could be resolved if the departments obtain approval from the Employment Exchange before conducting appointments.
