Thiruvananthapuram: The failure of the Crime Branch (CB) to find the original copy of the controversial letter, allegedly written by mayor Arya Rajendran, has landed the probe in a crisis.
Currently, the CB is in possession of only the screenshot of the letter, which was circulated via WhatsApp. According to the officials, a case should be registered and investigated to find the letter. Mayor Arya Rajendran had said in her statement that the letter is fake.
In the probe into the second letter, municipal corporation parliamentary party secretary DR Anil revealed to the Vigilance that he himself had destroyed the letter he wrote in connection with the appointments to the corporation.
