Thiruvananthapuram: Minister R Bindu said that the number of people who need help through the ‘Aswasakiranam’ scheme is increasing every year and new applications will be processed as more funds are made available for this.

The scheme provides Rs 600 per month to people who are physically and mentally challenged, 100 per cent visually impaired, autistic, those with cerebral palsy and people who are bedridden due to cancer or old age.

The minister said the campaigns stating that the scheme has been stopped were unfortunate.
