Kochi: In connection with the Monson Mavunkal controversy, the complainants alleged that a Youth Congress leader tried for a settlement on behalf of KPCC president K Sudhakaran. Youth Congress leader Abin visited the complainants and the visuals of the meeting held in Kochi have surfaced.

It was Abin who introduced Monson Mavunkal to Sudhakaran. He met the complainants at a hotel room in Kochi two days ago. He had contacted them on phone several times. They came to the hotel as requested by Abin. He demanded not to drag K Sudhakaran’s name in the case unnecessarily, said Shameer, a complainant.

Meanwhile, Abin denied allegations of meeting the complainants to settle the complaints. The meeting was accidental. There is no need of settlement in the case. I already know the people who filed complaints. There is nothing unusual in the meeting, Abin said.

Earlier, evidences had come out proving Sudhakaran had visited Monson Mavunkal. However, Sudhakaran dismissed controversies. He said in a press meet that he visited Monson as a doctor and that he had no connection with him. He had also said that he had seen antique items at Monson’s house, but he did not stay there.
