Students to join anti-drug human chain on Nov 1

The programme will mark the end of the first phase of the Higher Education Department’s campus-level anti-narcotic awareness campaign ‘Bodha Poornima’.

Thiruvananthapuram: The General Education and Higher Education Departments are all set to form a human chain in the capital city on November 1, Kerala Piravi Day.

Reportedly, all schools should form the human chain by around 3.30 pm. Following which, a pledge against drugs will be taken.

The programme will mark the end of the first phase of the Higher Education Department’s campus-level anti-narcotic awareness campaign ‘Bodha Poornima’.

In higher education institutions, the chains will be formed either from 11 am till 12 pm or 3 pm till 4 pm. Students will also conduct a symbolic burning of narcotic substances.
