Anthoor suicide: CPM state committee slams P Jayarajan
Thiruvananthapuram: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan came down heavily on state committee member P Jayarajan during a general meeting of the party state committee.
Kodiyeri pointed out the opinions shared on Facebook page titled PJ Army. "It is very normal to have difference of opinion in several matters. Such issues should be raised on party platforms. Using social; media for the same is wrong," he said.
“It was not right from Jayarajan’s part to say that action will be taken by the CPM state committee against Anthoor municipality chairperson P K Shyamala in connection with the expat industrialist suicide. It gave out a wrong message to the public. It should have never happened,” he added.
Party is of the stance that no lapse occurred from chairperson’s part. But Jayarajan’s words were in contradiction to the party's view, said Kodiyeri.
Earlier too, P Jayarajan had been subjected to the wrath of CPM state committee. Jayarajan was warned for convening protest meet in front of Payyanur police station in connection with the murder of CPM worker C V Dhanaraj. Later, the state committee warned him for campaigning on his own terms using musical sculptures.
