Kochi: As the investigations on the death of former Miss Kerala winners are in progress, deceased Ansi Kabeer’s family filed a complaint with the police seeking a detailed probe. The family urged the Palarivattom police to unveil the mysteries behind the incident.

The family raised their suspicions over the intervention of Roy Vayalat, the owner of ‘No. 18’ hotel of Fort Kochi in the case. Roy had earlier concealed the CCTV visuals of the DJ party hall. He submitted the DVR after the interrogation of the police. However, police revealed that he had removed the visuals of the DJ party. Though the police raided the hotel again on Wednesday, they could not find the relevant DVR.

Ansi’s family asserted that the progressing investigation on the case is satisfactory. But they also accused the police of not taking considerable actions against Roy even after he was found to have destroyed the evidence.

In the petition, the family demands to discover why the Audi car followed Ansi and her friends.

Meanwhile, Abdul Rahman, who drove the car that met with the accident, was released on bail. He was booked for causing an accident while driving under the influence of alcohol and for involuntary manslaughter. He was released on Wednesday evening from the Kakkanad police station.

Police have extended the investigation to find the discarded hard disk. Police will probe in the vicinity of Kannamkattu bridge at Thevara. The hotel employees have been taken to the spot to recoup the hard disk.
