Kochi: The probe team that investigates the accident that claimed three lives including former Miss Kerala Ansi Kabeer and runner-up Anjana Shajan, will interrogate Saiju Thankachan who followed them in an Audi car. Saiju had handed over the details of those who attended the DJ party at No 18 hotel in Fort Kochi on the day of the mishap. Many of them are Saiju’s friends. The probe team will interrogate them.
It was found out that Saiju used to attend DJ parties organized inside and outside of Kerala. The district crime branch will inquire if synthetic drugs were used in these parties and the details of the celebrities who attended the parties.
In the preliminary inquiry, it was found out that Saiju was involved in drug deals. This was realized after checking the WhatsApp chat of Saiju. The probe regarding why he followed the models is progressing. The officers are collecting details from his phone.
There were photos of several women on Saiju’s phone. It is assumed that Saiju followed the models and offered them accommodation facilities with negative intentions. The probe team is also investigating his connections with hotel owner Roy Vayalat. Saiju will remain in custody till Tuesday.
The Crime Branch has taken into custody the Audi car in which Saiju followed the models. Saiju is an interior designer and the car was found near his office in Kakkanad. He purchased the car for Rs 20 lakh from a Thrissur native. However, the ownership was not transferred.
