AMT is an association of believers of the Ernakulam-Angamaly archdiocese of the Syro-Malabar church that was formed to protest against Alencherry over the land scam.
Syro-Malabar church has constructed houses for 40 poor families at Cardinal colony. AMT alleged that Alencherry has illegally possessed one of the houses that was allotted for a poor family.
It is alleged that Alencherry had sold the house to his relative violating norms. AMT revealed the scam with all the documents that prove re-registration of the land in 2016.
