Kochi: Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (A.M.M.A) has sought a report from the internal complaints committee over the sexual assault case against actor-producer Vijay Babu. The association has slated a meeting for Sunday and there are speculations that action will be taken against Babu.
Babu has been charged for allegedly sexually assaulting a female actor and disclosing the survivor's identity through a Facebook live session. According to the case, Babu made the surviour a prey to both physical and mental torture. While the case is in limelight, another woman has raised a #MeToo allegation against Babu.
Meanwhile, till now the actor-producer has not surrendered before the police. On Friday, he moved the Kerala High Court seeking anticipatory bail in the rape case.
