Amit Shah arrives Kannur, to hold talks with state leaders
Kannur: BJP national president Amit Shah arrived in Kerala on Saturday morning. He landed in Kannur airport in a special flight around 11.50 in the morning. BJP state leaders received him at the airport. Over 100 BJP activists also rushed to the airport to give a warm welcome to Amit Shah.
He arrived here to inaugurate BJP Kannur district committee office called ‘Mararji Mandir’. He will address the gathering in a public meeting at Thalikkavu ground here.
MLA O Rajagopal, BJP state president P Sreedharan Pillai, union minister Alphons Kannanthanam and BJP national secretary H Raja will attend the event.
Later, he will visit the family members of the deceased BJP activists namely Uthaman and Ramith at Pinarayi.
It is reported that Amit Shah will convene a meeting with state leaders at Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday night. Most of the eminent leaders of the party have arrived Kannur on Friday itself ahead of Amit Shah’s visit.
BJP leaders including PS Sreedharan Pillai will hold talks with him on Sabarimala protests over women entry.
Earlier, Kerala governor had visited union home minister Rajnath Singh to explain on the protests in Sabarimala.
The party’s intervention in Sabarimala has contributed political gains for the party, reviewed BJP leadership. Hence, the party is all set to counter the case against the activists.
BJP hopes that they will have more advantages in the coming elections following Sabarimala protests. It is observed that BJP’s gain will affect CPM in south Kerala.
