Aluva: Mofiya Parveen's classmates march to SP Office, held
Aluva: The classmates of Mofiya Parveen, who killed herself after filing a complaint of domestic abuse, were taken into custody when they arrived at the office of the Superintendent of Police here demanding swift action in the case.
Students initially marched to the office. However, they were blocked by the police. A group of them then went inside to submit a petition seeking justice in the death of their friend. However, they were held for allegedly organising a sit-in protest inside the office. Police took them to A R Camp and then to Edathala station.
They were released later. Students alleged that they did not provocate police and were ill-treated.
