Thiruvananthapuram: The allegation levelled against Kodiyeri Balakrishnan’s wife is very serious and let the probe into the matter decide the further course, said CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran. He also alleged that the move by Customs was with political intentions.

“The allegations levelled are so serious. But let legal actions be further course. CPI, from the initial stage, had realized the political intentions of central probe agencies. Now they are proving it,” he added.

Customs had found that one of the six iPhones gifted by Unitac Builders owner Santhosh Eapen, is being used by Vinodini Balakrishnan. Following this, she has been summoned for interrogation on March 10 to Customs office in Kochi. Kanam Rajendran was responding to this news.
