All India motor vehicle strike from Monday midnight
Thiruvananthapuram: The All India Motor Transport Organisation has called for a one-day strike from Monday midnight onwards.
The strike has been called demanding withdrawal of the proposed Motor Vehicle Amendment bill, cancel hike in insurance premium and restrict price hike of petroleum products.
Private buses, goods lorries, auto-rickshaws and taxis will take part in the strike.
All trade unions except BMS will observe the strike. Workshops, service centres and driving schools will stay closed.
It is a 24 hour strike. The organizations hosting the strike includes CITU, AITUC, INTUC and KSTDU.
