All houses in Kerala to have LED bulbs
Alappuzha: The state government is launching new programmes to turn Kerala an energy efficient state soon. LED bulbs and solar power plant projects are being implemented in the state.
Finance Minister Thomas Isaac declared that filament bulbs in each house in the state will be replaced with LED bulbs soon. He was addressing the state-level inauguration of solar power plant installation at Aryad panchayat here. He inaugurated the solar power plant at a homeo hospital under Aryanad panchayat.
The solar power plant in state will be implemented in association with energy management center. The solar power plants will be installed in 17 public institutions like hospitals, anganwadis, coir society in the state. On-grid solar power plant of 44 kw is installed by spending Rs 35 lakh.
“Aryad panchayat will become energy efficient with the launch of solar plants and smokeless stoves. This panchayat will be a role model for all panchayats in the state,” said minister.
Solar power plants will be installed in all schools in Alappuzha constituency. ANERT will install solar power plants in public institutions of six selected local government institutions.
