All 4 cabin crew members of first evacuation flight that landed in Karipur are Keralites
Kalikavu (Malappuram): The first evacuation flight that landed in Karipur airport carrying NRIs stranded in Gulf countries due to COVID threat the other day had another specialty as all four cabin crew members of the flight were Keralites.
Malappuram Kalikavu native Raseena, Kannur native Vineesh, Mannarkkad native Rauf and Wayanad native Rijo Johnson were the Malayali cabin crew members in the evacuation flight.
Raseena who is an air hostess had flown to various foreign countries along with people of different origins. However, the experience in the first flight which carried the NRIs stranded in other countries during the pandemic was unforgettable, she said.
When she was asked if she was willing to work in the evacuation flight, she said 'yes' without hesitation. Raseena also is a member of an NRI family. Her father Saithalavi had worked in Mecca for a long time.
The passengers seemed calm and quiet. They were allowed to board the flight after giving guidelines from the Dubai airport. Raseena also instructed the passengers in Malayalam from inside the flight making them feel at home.
Raseena and other crew members were subjected to COVID test at Kozhikode medical college as soon as the flight landed in Karipur. If their results are negative, all four of them will board the next evacuation flight.
