Alappuzha: Police have taken four people into custody over the murder of BJP leader Renjith Sreenivasan in Alappuzha, sources said. It is believed that they are SDPI workers. However, the police have not confirmed it officially. Police have also recovered a bike that has bloodstains on it.

Police have already questioned many in relation to the case though no arrests were made so far.

Renjith was murdered at his house followed by the killing of the SDPI state secretary KS Shan on Saturday night. Two people were arrested and remanded in the murder of Shan- Mannancherry native Rajendra Prasad (39) and Kattoor native Ratheesh (31). Police said they were RSS workers. Prasad arranged the vehicle that was used for the murder, the police claimed. The vehicle has been recovered. Both of them have been planning the murder for the last two months, police said.
