Alappuzha: A man was charred to death after his tempo traveller caught fire in Kanichukulangara here. The deceased was identified as Aroor Chandiroor native Rajeevan (45). He was driver of the tempo traveller.

The vehicle that was parked near Kanichukulangara junction caught fire. Though the fire was extinguished, Rajeevan could not be saved.

The vehicle is owned by Chandiroor native Ajayan. Rajeevan was an employee of Ajayan’s food processing company.

Rajeevan’s relatives and the police suspect that he committed suicide due to stress. Arthunkal police initiated probe into the incident.
