CPM leader P Jayarajan claimed that both Alan and Thaha, who were arrested in connection with UAPA case, were found to have links with the Maoists in the probe that was carried out by the party. The police understood this earlier itself, he said.
Jayarajan also justified the decision of the police to charge them with UAPA. In the long conversation that the CPM had with KA Johny, he claimed that UDF does not have the right to talk on the subject.
