Thiruvananthapuram: V Muraleedharan, the Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs, has come forward with sharp criticism against the state government over the recent attack on CPM state headquarters, the AKG Centre. He said the ‘inefficiency’ of the government led to the attack. If I were ruling Kerala, such an incident would not have taken place.

“A person arrived and carried out this attack right below the CM’s nose, below the eyes of the secretariat. Is the police force so powerless in Thiruvananthapuram? Is the intelligence department of Kerala Police so weak? Forming committees and making statements are not enough. It is important to ensure peaceful living environment for the people. The government and the home department have completely failed,” he said.

“It is the responsibility of the ruling government to find the ones responsible for the attack. There is no point in blaming each other. What EP Jayarajan is supposed to say was that their leader is not fit to rule Kerala,” Muraleedharan further remarked.

The attack on AKG centre was happened at around midnight on Thursday.
