Thiruvananthapuram: LDF convener EP Jayarajan repeated his allegations against Congress party for plotting and executing the attack against AKG centre on Thursday night. Addressing the media here on Friday, Jayarajan claimed that only Congress will commit such a crime in the present political scenario of the state.

Jayarajan accused Congress of attempting to trigger a riot in the state. Through the attack against AKG centre, Congress planned to create an emotional outburst of CPM activists, which will spread all over Kerala. It was the purpose behind hurling bomb at AKG centre," said Jayarajan.

However, he refrained from commenting on a scope for controversy behind the attack. Jayarajan condemned the assault and assured that the police will conduct an effective investigation into the case.

Congress activists might have devised the attack in Thiruvananthapuram by sensing that none will doubt their involvement, as the Congress leaders are camped in Wayanad in view of Rahul Gandhi’s visit, Jayarajan said.
