Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Friday granted bail to Jithin, main accused in the AKG Centre attack. Jithin approached the high court after the Thiruvananthapuram Judicial Magistrate Court denied bail. Jithin was arrested by the Crime Branch on September 22 for hurling a ‘high-intensity explosive’ at the AKG Centre.

On Thursday, the Crime Branch requested the high court not to grant bail to Jithin as three of the other accused are on the run. The court observed that Jithin does not have to remain in custody as the Crime Branch had completed interrogation. The Youth Congress leader has been released on conditional bail.

The Crime Branch had issued a look out notice against Suhail Shajahan, T Navya and Subeesh, the three accused in the case.

According to the Crime Branch officials, Suhail had ordered the attack, while Navya arranged the scooter in which Jithin arrived at the centre. They found that the scooter belonged to Subeesh.
