Thiruvananthapuram: The Crime Branch took over the investigation in the case registered over the AKG centre attack.

DySP Jaleel Thottathil has now been given charge of investigation officer under the Crime Branch SP S Madhusoodhanan. Cantonment Assistant Commissioner VS Dinaraj also comprises the team.

The investigation was transferred to the Crime Branch after the police failed to make any breakthrough in the case. Despite receiving the CCTV footage of the attack, the probe team failed in uncovering the identity of the assailant.
