Kannur: Akash Thillankeri, the main accused in the Shuhaib murder case, has come out against CPM by sharing cryptic comments implying that he committed the crime for the party. His comments appeared below the social media posts of local CPM leaders. With this, the leaders deleted their posts.

"The party leaders of Edayannur in Mattanur asked us to do it. They offered many promises. However, they won't look back if we are booked in a case. Those who made me do the same received jobs in cooperative bodies" read some of Akash Thillankeri's comments.

Thillankeri posted comments on social media posts of DYFI Block Secretary Sarish Poomaram, SFI fFormer leader Prasheed PK Edayannur and others.

It is worth noting that Youth Congress Mattannur Block Secretary SP Shuhaib was killed by a gang on the night of February 12 at Edayannur. Akash Thillenkeri and Rijin Raj, accused in the case, were dismissed by CPM from the party.

"We turned to gold smuggling and quotation when the party abandoned us." He also remarked that the party does not bother to "correct them" or lead them "in the right way."

He also posted comments claiming that "some people won't be able to walk free if people like him reveal certain things." Addressing "Sakhav," Thillankeri said he had "no hesitation or fear in saying things directly."

Recently, a spat ensued on social media between those supporting Thillankeri and CPM local leaders following controversies over the DYFI state joint secretary and central committee member M Shajar awarding a trophy to Akash during a function of a CAG club in Vanjeri.
