AK Antony’s decision on Rajya Sabha re-election a great loss to national politics: Pallam Raju

AK Antony

New Delhi: Sharing a media report on AK Antony’s decision to not have another term in Rajya Sabha, Congress veteran and former union minister Pallam Raju on social media noted that ‘it would be a great loss to the stature, dignity and integrity of National Politics!’.

Notably, Raju was a minister in UPA 1, 2 regimes and has associated with Antony. Raju’s remarks come at a time when there are speculations that Antony will stay away from national politics. Antony’s term in Rajya Sabha will end by April 2. He informed the leadership that he is not seeking re-election to the seat.

The elections to three RS seats are scheduled for March 31. Besides AK Antony, the tenures of MV Shreyams Kumar and K Somaprasad are ending.
