Thiruvananthapuram: The Sharjah-Kozhikode flight made an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport due to hydraulic oil leakage.

The Air India IX 1346 flight from Sharjah to Kozhikode safely landed in the airport on Friday at 1 pm. The airport received an emergency message from the flight.

It was first decided to land the flight in Kochi. Later, the flight landed at Thiruvananthapuram airport as there were more technical experts.

There were a total of 112 people in the flight including 104 passengers and 8 flight staff. Security has been beefed up in the airport following the incident. The flight will resume journey after the troubles are resolved.
