Kondotty: Air India Express has warned its passengers not to carry expensive items, money or important documents in check-in baggage. The warning is issued as there are frequent reports of incidents in which expensive items are stolen from baggage.
The passengers are directed to exclude gold, silver, money, archaeological objects, artifacts, handicrafts, camera, mobile phone, laptop, cheque, bond, stamp paper, paintings, sculptures and other items from their check-in baggage.
Though there was already an instruction to avoid such items, the warning is widely circulated on grounds of the recent incidents. The warning of Air India Express is displayed in Dubai airport also.
Meanwhile, the passengers are allowed to carry items of a certain weight in their hand bags. Hence, they will suffer due to the restriction to carry expensive items in check-in baggage.
