Air India employee, complainant in forgery case against Swapna Suresh, suspended
Thiruvananthapuram: L S Sibu, an officer ground handling with Air India posted in Hyderabad, who had filed a complaint against gold smuggling accused Swapna Suresh in a forgery case, was suspended from service.
The action was taken against him citing he spoke to media in connection with the case. But, as per reports, Sibu had not responded to media or make any public comments till date.
Swapna had filed a fake complaint against Sibu. He was framed for exposing corruption in Air India. Swapna had forged documents and produced fake witness before the Internal Complaint Cell of Air India to implicate Sibu in sexual harassment case. The sexual harassment complaint was signed by 17 female staff of Air India-SATS and action was taken against Sibu.
Following this, Sibu filed a complaint against Swapna for forgery and fake complaint. The Crime Branch found that Swapna’s complaint was fake and 16 of the signatures were forged.
The suspension comes when Crime Branch was gearing up to submit charge sheet in the case arraigning Swapna as the second accused in the case.
