Air India dismisses 6 temporary employees following serious allegations
Karipur: Six temporary staff members attached to AITSL, Air India's ground Handling Subsidiary, have been dismissed from service following serious allegations.
The six employees, K Yusuf (Supervisor, Loading), V K Rubaid (Asst. Manager, Ticket Counter), K Manoj, P Irshad, C V Naushad and K Sameer, were under the watch of the intelligence agencies and Air India authorities following various serious allegations.
The dismissals have come in the light of the investigation into the case of false emigration clearance given to a passenger from Karipur who was sent back from Dubai after he was caught by the Airport authorities. The BCAS passes issued to these employees have been cancelled.
Four employees have been transferred to Kochi and Mangalore. The dismissed employees were working for the Delhi based Khullar Company till it wound up ground operations at Karipur. The employees were then absorbed into the Air India Air Transport Services Limited which took over ground handling. During this stage the Union leaders who worked for Khullar company were allegedly kept out.
The employees have come up with the accusation that the company is taking vindictive measures against those who had protested demanding the payment of pending salaries.
