Thiruvananthapuram: Soon after the poll debacle, the allies of UDF have started rebelling. Muslim League and Kerala Congress Joseph faction pointed out at the lack of unity in the front. Claiming that their parties bases are still wrong, P K Kunhalikutty and P J Joseph indirectly noted the issues within the Congress party.
Kunhalikutty said that the League performed well in their strongholds, but also expressed despair in the poor performance of UDF. P J Joseph openly criticised that they were defeated in Thodupuzha as Congress betrayed them. He also highlighted the places where they defeated Jose K Mani faction.
Meanwhile, the Congress leaders shared the responsibility of the poll debacle. Mullappally Ramachandran, Ramesh Chennithala, Oommen Chandy and M M Hassan held the press meet specially mentioning the panchayats they won extra. They also pointed out that all local body elections except for 2010 were won by the LDF.
K Muraleedharan also raised harsh criticism after the press meet at the KPCC headquarters. He said that it is wrong to declare that they won after losing the polls and this will affect the confidence of the party workers. He also ridiculed the opposition leader saying that those who want to become the CM should have taken better care.
