
Apart from details of projects, it is asked in the notice to submit details of the financial transactions made with contractors in five years and the income tax paid for every project. The letter was forwarded by Income Tax Additional Commissioner.
Earlier, the ED had summoned the KIIFB officials for interrogation. This resulted in a controversy and the officials refused to appear for questioning. Soon after this, another central agency started inquiring about KIIFB projects.
Finance minister Dr Thomas Isaac said that the accurate answers will be given to the questions asked by I-T department. There are no matters related to KIIFB which cannot be answered, he told Mathrubhumi News.
