Thiruvananthapuram: Minister MV Govindan has stated that the curry powders available in Kerala are highly adulterated. The minister made the controversial statement while attending a ceremony of Kudumbashree in Thiruvananthapuram.

“ When we checked the curry powders, it was revealed that all brands are selling adulterated products. There is a huge promotion for all these brands. But even a single one was not found safe for consumption. Every curry powder is fake. In this situation, we can trust products from Kudumbashree,” said the minister.

“Compared to other products, Kudumbashree products are affordable. Kudumbashree units can make a good profit with the sale. We must build a platform to find a market for Kudumbashree products,” he added.

The minister was attending a ceremony organised for signing an MoU between Kudumbashree and the postal department. Kudumbashree signed the MoU for taking up the packing job under the postal department.
