CPM central committee member MC Josephine passed away in Kannur on Sunday afternoon.
She was 71.
She collapsed on Saturday night while attending the CPM Party Congress in Kannur.
She was soon rushed to AKG hospital.
She contested the Assembly election from the former Mattancherry constituency in 2006 and lost to VK Ibrahim Kunju
Josephine served as the chairperson of the Kerala Women's Commission from 25 May 2017 to 25 June 2021.
